Off Topic 100HP Section Please - Moderators

I have kind of stayed clear of the fourm for a while, being mid 30's and having a 100hp I have loved, modified my panda to my own liking and had it serviced with Fiat regardless of cost I have ran into the odd remark about it.
If I do a mod on it and someone doesnt like it that's fair enough I think the issue is when you post a picture or say what you have done and straight away members post negative comments it can be deflating as you are wanting to show your hard work to hopefully like minded panda fans.
I have just fully built my classic moped and a member of that forum and I love it, I post what I have done it might not be to everyone's taste but they are not rude about it they just appreciate the work that has gone into it.
Reading through the treads over the last few days the forum has almost become embarrassing as it just turns into a hand bag fight.
Keep all the pandas together and just get on with enjoying the car, FMP has talked a lot of sense I just hope other members read that and think the same.

There is a common thread/problem/member running through all of this.... use the 'ignore' feature and sanity will return..... nighty night..:)
Actually there are 4 on this thread.. of which you are 1, - and very close to the top.. You actually believe that you are being subtle and clever, but in reality your actions and comments make you the worst kind of troll. Please, feel free to use the ignore, but if you are going to do it, again like your fellow troller - grow a pair and do it ! - (take them out of your mouth first ! - preferably)

Exactly. For the record I'm not a fan of the wheels on your car as I think the Panda looks perfect on the standard wheels, but at least they're a decent wheel (BBS), have some good rubber on them (Toyo) and are inside the arch so are legal. I quite like what you've done to your fog lights though, a film I'm guessing? The cars that I find unpalatable are the ones fitted with the cheapest tyres possible, the cheapest suspension possible and which will probably never get serviced properly.

I just don't get why someone has chosen to be so precious about threads concerning 100hp's.....

The main reason for avoidance for me was the time I was singled out and picked upon for expressing a dislike about a car no-one on the forum actually owned!

I found this incredibly unfair since others had expressed a similar opinion and were not singled out at all!

I know it's been mentioned in a couple of threads but Mods if you are reading this can we please have a section or sub section for the 100hp?

It has already been mentioned but threads for general panda issues are getting lost amongst the increasing 100hp threads.

I'm sure the 100hp owners and non-owners would agree.

if people cant even find the site ideas section, how will they find even more sections?

I wouldnt want you to agree with me on every thing. Thats how ppl improve themselves. And I never said to mind your own business either. To the guys with number plate, I said that he might get pulled and get fined. I would expect others to say something too but never "an idiot or a plonker" that to me isnt helping the OP. Nothing wrong about being honest but some forget that they are talking about other people pride and joy so slagging off in that case will upset the owners, with that I disagree. Like you if I dont like something, I just say it isnt my cup of tea and leave it at that. No point going into details and hurt owners feelings.

You did tell people to mind their own business about the number plate Demi. I do agree with you about not slagging people off. As you say no need to be personal about it and insult somebody. But sometimes I do think that you are too sensitive about things. Maxi called that guy a plonker, not exactly the worst insult in the world was it? Although I didnt insult him he was driving around without a front number plate and so he kinda asked for it.

You did NOTHING wrong and IMHO the way you were treated on that thread was shameful.

And sometimes if people do things outside of the law it's entirely appropriate to be negative towards them.

Now if someone fits slightly wider tyres and doesn't inform their insurance company it's entirely appropriate to say "you're a plonker/idiot for not letting them know!" however "OMFG I HOPE YOUR MOTHER DIES OF BUBONIC PLAGUE BECAUSE YOU'RE RUNNING UNDECLARED WIDE TYRES!!!!!!!!" perhaps isn't an appropriate response.

Gavin1980 thanks for posting this thread, it really would seem that the vast majority of us want the same thing and have very similar ideas of how to get there :)

Oh I'm late to the WI meeting. Calm down ladies! :p :ROFLMAO:

I'm bringing my dog then.

I'm bringing the lads then :p

Now I'm not advocating this idea, but surely it would be better to have a general performance modification and cosmetic modification section rather than a 100hp section. At least then the 'modders' will be talking to like minds.

Oh, like this section :p

Or if modding their vehicle perhaps and wanting views etc then they could post properly and keep it all together in their MM thread
