I know it's been mentioned in a couple of threads but Mods if you are reading this can we please have a section or sub section for the 100hp?

It has already been mentioned but threads for general panda issues are getting lost amongst the increasing 100hp threads.

I'm sure the 100hp owners and non-owners would agree.

Personally I think it is an extremely bad idea,
Leave it as it is. The 100hp is just another panda, not a different model altogether.
It is nothing special - Why not have a diesel panda section ?, or a euro 5 section ?. or a selespeed section. ?
It is perfectly ok as it is .(y)
There is a whole showcase for pandas. if someone wants to parade the latest fad use that. If the younger kids want to coo over each others latest addition(s), then great, again, that is the section for it, a whole highlighted section.

I agree with Gavin, because not many share Wee Smurf's view. There will always be some strong "opinions" posted that will get things heated between enthusiasts and non enthusiasts (dont know if thats right? modders and non modders?)

The funny thing is that Wee Smurf is actually agreeing that there should be another section.

I must say that I would be in agreement with FullMetalPanda on this one. I am merely the owner of a Multijet Panda and I personally have no interest in things to make the 100HP go faster, look different nor in car mods in general. I am more interested in assisting (where I can) or being helped with general Panda queries / problems.

I've been on here since 2005 and the majority of "issues" in my time have occurred between those who have run of the mill Pandas and those who like to go that bit faster. There seems to be a bit of disagreement in views on what looks good, etc. I personally tend to ignore the majority of posts where 100HP is mentioned in the title...

Personally I agree with Gavv8, plus I don't know if you've realised, but anyone can post in any section and give their opinion on anything so potentially nothing will change.

But if somebody is replying to a post on a 100HP section and causing trouble but doesn't even have a 100HP then why are they there? I agree that anybody has the right to their opinion. Yet as Wee Smurf pointed out anything with 100HP they avoid. Personally if I see a post thats about fitting 18 inch wheels to a 100HP or Abarth badges (a personal pet hate) then I wouldnt even bother clicking on it. I wouldnt have anything constructive to add so why would I bother. Just posting that I think its crap is a bit pointless because its not adding anything and wont change anything either. I simply wouldn't waste my time. At the moment the Panda section is full of 100HP posts trying to wade through them is time consuming. The 100HP is popular enough and different enough to warrant its own section.

I think its a good idea mainly because the Panda section is getting swamped with 100HP posts. This may put off any potential new members with regular Pandas because they may feel its a 100HP only zone. There is a difference in car enthusiasts and people who like modifying.
I think you will find that the 'swamping' with 100hp posts will dwindle rapidly...(y)

Well I dont always agree with you either Demi. In the post about the lad removing his number plate I dont agree with just minding your own business. If somebody is breaking the law its everybody's business. Also if somebody asks what people think of their car I will be honest. Although I do agree with you that having a personal pop at somebody isnt called for.

It's a discussion forum though! Sometimes people ask for opinions, sometimes people (like numberplate boy) post what they've done and people can say "You're going to get your collar felt for that!"

We have loads of people who come into the 500 section who don't own 500's and loads of them pass comment (both good and bad) on the 500's that people own and those that people modify, no one gets worked up over it. If someone has an issue and it's a common 500 thing and someone who's not a 500 owner says something which is unlikely then someone might say "oi! I've got a 500 and I know what this issue is likely to be!!!!!" but it's never the same as we've seen of late in this section.

Once upon a time when I was interested in getting a Bravo I posted in the Bravo section a much as I do in here, literally no one batted an eyelid and no one said "you don't own a Bravo! Go away!".

To simply make another forum for 100hp owners would simply be dealing with the symptom and not the cause of the problem.

Fair play maxi but I think whats causing the problems now is people who are modifying cars and those who dont like it. In posts where people have issues on broken cars you usually dont get any arguments just helpful advice. For example lets take the young lad with 100HP and Abarth 500 exhaust. Personally I hate it I think it looks ridiculous. But why would I post my opinion on that, what would I achieve? The kid clearly loves his exhaust so why not leave him be and say nothing? Im not going to change his mind (and why would I want too?) and im not going to get any personal gain from it. If he had asked people's opinion on it I would tell him it looks ridiculous but wouldnt have a personal pop at him. Like my old mother used to tell me,if you dont have anything decent to say, dont say anything at all.

it depends what you say and how you say it though.

If you said "IMHO it'd look nicer closer to standard with a single pipe stainless box" then what's wrong with that?

There are literally tens of thousands of threads on this forum across all models where people have respectfully said they prefer the car sans-mod and in 99% of cases we don't have these issues.

People shouldn't feel that they can't speak out and give an opinion (whether it be negative or positive) purely because someone is going to fly off the handle.

Sadly as I said we'd be dealing with the symptom and not the cause by creating a new forum.

Sad thing is I like 100hp's, am I to take it as read that if a new forum was created that I would not be welcome?

Please note that we're trying to DEFUSE the situation here, stop throwing fuel on the fire.

I think you will find, if you bother to read, that the reply of mine was to a 'petit' troll by mr FMP...... ;)

When he makes silly assumptions, he will be told. It's the only way he will learn.
