Just thought some others might find this info helpful. Sorry there are no links as I'm not allowed to post them yet:

It looks like Perrys have knocked an additional £500 off the current £7995 scrappage price of the 100HP, making it £7495.

This is the lowest pre-haggling base price I've seen for a while, bringing it a bit closer to the ~£7300 low points seen around a year ago - albeit these were excluding any scrappage discount!

I think I might go for this one, unless anyone has some other advice?

Unfortunately fiatsupasaver's (non-scrappage) prices don't seem to have slowed their upward momentum and the 100HP remains at £9195 (£7995 when checked before Christmas, and £8195 at the start of Jan '10).

This is still lower than drivethedeal.com, whose quote came out at £9954.38 today (vs. around £8600 in Dec '09).

The dealers I have spoken with all claimed that Fiat has substantially cut the discounts available to them.
As others have commented, the weak pound must be a significant contributing factor (+ there was the 2010 price hike, and the recent VAT 'increase'!).

Still a great car for the price though! (y)

That seems to be a cracking deal. I have just ordered a 100 hp myself but unfortunately missed this deal. however once you add on the metallic paint at £400 it comes up to the standard price we seem to be seeing, give or take. Lucky for me i managed to negotiate the paint for £50 so prices will end up being similar. Surely there cant be any further negotiation on the Perrys price?
At first glance i was annoyed at my timing when reading this post but probably wouldnt end up being much difference - after all i am based in scotland and would have to somehow get a wee rover 100 (which aint running too well) down south!

Well I reckon your's is around a grand over that price, but I wouldn't worry, it's about what I paid for mine (£8650 which had a £150 increase for the stereo upgrade).

So I got a similar deal to you by the sounds of it. It is known to be difficult to get much in the way of further discounts when it comes to the scrappage scheme. Still a lot of car for the money. Especially so when you consider the spec.

Well i dont mind telling you im paying £8050.
Assuming you wont get any further discount from Perrys then like for like it would cost £7895. Ok so i could save a bit but i still have to drive down south in a rover 100 to exchange! Im happy. Just dont want to hear the deal you get Botak if you manage to get further money off ;)

How long is it taking for people to get their scrappage number through?
I have been waiting a month.
