Technical 1.9 Sporting Humming/Droning from front

Hi Guys,

I have a Grande Punto 1.9 Sporting 57 plate. I have recently started hearing a humming/droning noise coming from what sounds like the front of the car. To be more specific I think its the Front Left side. It only happens at certain speeds and upon breaking still occurs. It does cause a little bit of vibration under my foot through the pedals to.

I have been to have the tire changed also as I thought I had a slow puncture. They advised my my Pads/Disks on that side are low and that the alloy is slightly buckled causing the old tyre not to seal correctly.

Just wondered which of these issues could be causing the noise or could it be a bearing?

Any help would be appreciated before I take her in.

Most likely wheel bearing, very common problem.

I will go and get this changed and see if it is resolved.

I also get a high pitched squeal from the front of the car upon pulling away and turning left I think I have narrowed it down to. I have spoken to a friend who thinks this is to do with the break pads/disks. Could this be a valid cause as the guys who changed my tire mentioned they were low.
