Similar to all the thermostat housing/heater supply hose fitting failure on the 1.2L Fiat 500’s,
today, the thermostat housing/heater supply hose fitting on my 2008 Fiat 500 1.4L decided to crack and start leaking coolant.
I am in Australia, and I anticipate that it may not be easy to find the correct part, because all my searches so far are returning results for the 1.2L motor.
Could someone please confirm for me, the part number for the correct part (to fit the 1.4L petrol motor)?
If it is the same part for another model of Fiat, as suggested on some websites, I would appreciate some confirmation. Not all websites are listing the same “also fits” makes & models, so I don’t trust enough to just order.
I also can’t figure out how to undo the clip on one of the connections to the thermostat housing. It looks/feels like it should pull off when I press the two sides (square “buttons”), but it’s not letting go. Is there a trick?
