My wife 1.4 100hp 50 c gucci from 2012 (I think) has developed a bit of ticking noise. Sounds like a valve ticking. From what I understand thouse engine has hydraulic lifters/pushers. Any good solution to get ride of this noise?

Different oil?

I once had an old golf and the standard trick was to sit at 3000rpm for 30 minutes to clear up the lifters.

Any similar tricks on thouse engines?

Hi
When was last service?
Correct engine oil?
Luigi

She bought it about a year ago with 70000km or about 45000 miles. Has done about 7000km or 4500miles since then.

It was a service performed when she bought it but I have no idea which oil they used. I am pretty sure that the service was not performed by a fiat garage.

Are thouse engines critical on oil? And special oil recommended?

So as the oil is about a year old I suggest changing it, you could of you want use a flushing agent too(some people don't like these but I've had no issues with them over many years of ownership ) then use the correct grade of oil, you don't need to spend a fortune on it just the right type
