Ill take a picture in the morning, but all the insurance documentation points towards a 1.2.
Stick your reg no in here and it will come back with the details the dvla hold about the car (engine size): http://www.freecarcheck.org/

That's what i'd do anyway, providing i was happy with everything else.
Thats the plan. I think the salesman was only going by what their database said, as all the printed documents I got from them says a 1.4
I'll take it up the garage, see what happens. I'll keep you all informed.
Bit of a Noob question, but was there such a thing as a 1.4 Dynamic in 2006?
I thought the standard Dynamic was 1.2 and the Dynamic Sport 1.4?

Hope this helps figure out what it is. Needless to say, there is a lot of space in the engine bay![]()
Easy check is to look at the engine (or take a pic and post on here). The 1.4 8v has a valve timing variator solenoid on the cam cover (between the oil cap and breather hose). The 1.2 doesn't have one.
That's of no use whatsoever.
The physical size of the 1.4 and 1.2 8v is identical. What did I say...?
Need a closer pic of this area (it's almost covered-up in the one above)!
