1.1 Cinq kangaroo-ing problem

Hi everybody, hope anyone can help. After running fine for ages, my Cinq out of the blue lights up it's little injector light and idles like a pig. It starts and goes ok for a short while and then the injector light comes and goes - I'm sure I can feel a little cough when the light comes on - and petrol consumption seems to have gone up slightly. I have had a chance to look at the injector and its seals but all seems fine except for a little corosion inside the injector chamber, going to replace the throttle body anyway!:chin:
Any thought's / hints gratefully recived.

Chances are it's nothing to do with the injector or tb.

More detail on the pig like idle, please. Does it idle badly when cold or hot or both? Is it an idle where the revs go up and down (a hunting idle)?

there is no idle-ing problem, when i stick my foot down it loses power, like taking your foot off the accelerator and letting the car slow under the gears momentum, it is very annoying as it jerks back and forwards.
if i take my foot off then put on the revs again it works ok for a short time then starts again.
I'm thinkin it might be a knackered map sensor.
Any ideas?

Scapper, Fiat, shop4 parts.

But first, give it a service: oil, plugs, filters and clean the tube out with solvent and an air line.
