Can anybody shed any light on why my 1.9 td interior lights will not go out without taking the bulbs out? the light above the rear seat is doing the same but it has a slide switch making it easier to turn off. The front light goes brighter when i press the switch there leading me to think it is a in line switch somewhere please help?

lift the rear seat up and there should be a conrol unit [delay timer].as both front and rear lights stay on this unit could be faulty, unless you have a problame with a door switch or a wire going to earth.worth a look in to.........

It does go brighter when you press the switch as you are bypassing the wiring from the control bax and door switches. Older models had switches that were a 'pin' that pops out of the door pillar when you open the door these are prone to sticking, later models have a reflective sensor that 'looks' at the door.

As with other problems I'll try and find the circuit for you and we'll tak it from there.

Can anyone take a photo of where the switches are in the car? I have no idea where they are, My box is faulty too, As soon as I crack the little blighter open and root about in it to make sure its not that I'll keep you posted.
