My Tempra 1.6 has got Bosch Mono-Motronic MA1.7 injection, and the throttle potentiometer is supposedly faulty. So I'm trying to find a complete throttle body, as the potentiometer is not available separately from what I've been told.

Does anyone know if I can replace the throttle body in my 1.6 Tempra engine with one from a 1.4 12V engine from the Bravo/Brava? I know that that engine has also got Bosch Mono-Motronic injection, but the difference is the "version number" - the Bravo/a has got Mono-Motronic MA1.7.3 injection, whereas my Tempra has got Mono-Motronic MA1.7(.2?). I know that there are a few differences in the wiring of the versions 1.7(.2) and 1.7.3 (have look at this PDF file to see what I mean), but should this matter if the pins of the three (?) contacts on the throttle body are in the same order and have the same range of output values? Does anyone know whether that is the case, by the way?

Has anyone ever tried to use a Brava 1.4 throttle body on a Tipo/Tempra engine, or does anyone know enough about these injection systems to reach a conclusion as to whether or not the MA1.7.3 throttle body can be used on an MA1.7(.2)-based engine?
