Recently my Tempra ran extra hot and got up to the first red line on the temperature guage. Auxillary fans are fine but to make sure of things, the auxiliary fan sensor (tells fan to kick in at 92 degrees celsius and then really kick in at 97 degrees) and temperature sensor were replaced.

When the auxiliary fans starts (92 Celsius), the gauge is showing my hotter than it is. 3/4 hot. When the auxiliary fan really turns (97 degrees) temperature gauge shows 7/8 hot. The gauge seems to be showing hotter than the engine is really running.

The bad in all of this is that when the gauge is showing it is close to the first red line on the temperature gauge, the car is running hot but not dangerously hot. At least I don't think it is. Anyone else experience this or have an idea what is causing this, is it a problem?
