Good evening to everyone!! Im brand new to to the forum, i have just purchased last week a Fiat Tempra 1.6 SX i.e. CAT. First this first, i love it! I owned a 1969 Beetle convertible, so switching to a digital dashboard, AC, electric windows, sunroof etc is a great step for me!! As soon as i bought it, i changed oil, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, battery, brakes. In a few words this car was a success from my point of view(except)... I have an appointment tomorrow with my mechanic to a) instal the belts for the aircondition( didnt have none when i bought it) and b) to find the leak from the radiator(the warning light would come on and i added some water, but all will be fixed tomorrow)!! My terrifying problem is: today i was cleaning the car inside out and i discovered that under the driver side mats(left) the floor was flooded with green oily fluid. I freaked out, hopefully the mechanic will fix it tomorrow, but does anyone know what this might be?!?

Sounds like your radiator leak is actually a leak in the cabin heating system. If this is the case then it could be a simple hose leak, a leaking control valve or worst case a leak in the heat exchanger itself.

If that is the case then by going to the mechanic to fix the airconditioning he will take care of this, i freaked cause i never knew any green fluid tha cars had.. As soon as i return from the mechanic tomorrow i will post details!! Appreciate it!!!!

Paraflu, the Fiat/Tutela/Olio Fiat antifreeze is actually when new a blue colour. After a little agitation, mileage and heat/cooling cycles and especially when it is old it tends to go a more green/blue colour.

Problem solved! the leak was in the heaters radiator fixed it!!! Thank You for your answers!!!
