Hello all,
my k reg (92) Tempra Sw 2.0 has just started cutting out after running fine for a few miles. After this has happened, attempts to start it result in a nasty knocking sound, and the engine just won't go. Come back 30 minutes later, and it might. The engine seems hot when this happens. Could it possibly be anything to do with the advance/retarder getting stuck?

Would be very grateful for any advice on this.

During this complain have you checked the output of the coil wire..... I hope that the problem will be with the coil or with the Fuel pump.

Since these two things only cause much problem after heating...........
