I use my Tempra mainly with LPG but, hey, sometimes it finishes and I have to run on petrol ;)
But with petrol, the car won't keep idle and it turns off. If I try to adjust the idle screw, then it would be fine with petrol but the idle setting would be too high for LPG :(
The LPG technician told me that it must be a dirty carb preventing the right amount of petrol to enter the carb at idle. So I would like to know if there is some good product to be added to petrol for cleaning the carb or I am better asking to a good carb mechanic.

Thanks!

You can buy a strong solvent carbuerretor cleaner spray (£1 in Proper Job! ) . give your carb a good spray with it, obviously with the top cover removed. don't spray it up close as the pressure could damage some parts. Don't try and use anything to rub/scrape. also try running redex or similar in the petrol which may help. best bet would be to take it to a garage and get them to clean it.
