I use my Tempra mainly with LPG but, hey, sometimes it finishes and I have to run on petrol
But with petrol, the car won't keep idle and it turns off. If I try to adjust the idle screw, then it would be fine with petrol but the idle setting would be too high for LPG
The LPG technician told me that it must be a dirty carb preventing the right amount of petrol to enter the carb at idle. So I would like to know if there is some good product to be added to petrol for cleaning the carb or I am better asking to a good carb mechanic.

You can buy a strong solvent carbuerretor cleaner spray (£1 in Proper Job! ) . give your carb a good spray with it, obviously with the top cover removed. don't spray it up close as the pressure could damage some parts. Don't try and use anything to rub/scrape. also try running redex or similar in the petrol which may help. best bet would be to take it to a garage and get them to clean it.

i used to use wynns carb cleaner spray or pour redexstraight into the carb, make sure the engine is running and up to temperature before you start cleaning
