Hey new to the forum but owned a few puntos, recently upgraded to a 1.4 sporting starjet and been curious, while investigating the condition of the timing belt I've noticed its got a different style cam pulley to the traditional 1.4 8v I had, been searching around and not found out much other than its been narrowed down to either a VCT or VVT system in it, I'm really curious as to what its fitted with and how it helps, I know the basics of a vvt system so thats all fine but if its not fitted with that and its fitted with VCT I'm curious as to what it does on this engine. I also have a GP 1.4 with the StarJet engine (not a Sporting model, mind you), and I'm no expert but I believe it does use a VVT system. You might find this writeup interesting http://www.italiaspeed.com/2006/cars/other/technology/04/starjet/2004.html
