Hi. The seals are failing in the brake master cylinder of my 1997 Punto Mk1 1.6 90 ELX Cabrio. It's a RHD non-ABS version. It seems that the cylinders are now obsolete from Fiat, no-one seems to have one in Europe, and I can't find anyone who can rebuild them. Anyone got any suggestions/advice/parts?

Hi s130. The chassis number is ZFA17600006034876.
I believe the Bosch part number is 0 204 123 524 and the Fiat part number is 9948325.
Any help or advice you or anyone could give would be much appreciated .... Surely I Can't be the first with this problem??

I think you have quoted the correct part numbers in your previous post.

You could try ringing brakes international and asking if they can find you a seal kit or a master cylinder.
Reccomend measuring piston diameter and telling them that measurement.
Plus ask them for an email address and email picture of your master cylinder.

Otherwise find a brake servo that will fit your car that accepts a master cylinder still available.

And what I find interesting about that info I just posted is the usage in new vehicles up to year 2012. So in 2020 we are supposedly inside/on the EU 10 year support requirement.

Also note the "Professional". We never had the Strada van/pick-up in the EU but had we then I would be looking at asking the big commercial vehicle agents as commercial vehicle parts are generally available for many many years.
