The door courtesy light switches seem to have a mind of their own and the central locking bounces between locked and unlocked and as a result scumbags cleaned out my tools. Now l wait to see if the lights flash or stay constant telling whether the locking is closed or not before l leave the car.
It's a 2008 five seater with tailgate, can anybody tell me where the door switches are for the sliders and the tailgate please.
It seems it's the sliders that may be the cause, when cornering accelerating or braking the inner lights may a surprise appearance.
Do l cure by remove, clean, lube - or replace?
I've looked on Dalys parts and they don't seem to be there?
I did want to try and clean and lube first.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply

I've narrowed it down to the o/s sliding door courtesy light switch
The interior lights switch off, but whilst driving they come on ad hoc
When driving l got a passenger to put pressure on all the doors to see which one caused the same, and it was the o/s sliding door

The central locking operates on the key fob sometimes, but other times it locks then unlock in seconds, by which time if you didn't expect it you would walk away and it would be unlocked

I read on previous posts that there was a mod for this, which entailed fitting a longer rod, but on the slider, the door switches have four what appear to be electrical contacts, and a smaller black plastic one in the centre which springs from both the door and b post.

My question is, which one is the door closed switch, and how can l remedy this even if it means getting a new door switch

Thanks

Just had a daylight look....it's the door not latching securely and that movement allows the switch to operate
The n/s is firm when latched, the o/s has around 5 to 8mm movement

I'll search for adjusting that now l know
