Advise..pleeeese..
Had to repair front to rear compensator break lines..can't get fluid to bleed to rear wheels from compensator..
Purchase replacement no change..

Have you got the vehicle jacked up with the axle hanging free? If so the compensator will be in the same position as when you are doing an emergency brake and so will have shut off fluid supply to the rear. Either disconnect the compensator from the suspension and push it into the normal operating position or put the vehicle back on the ground (if you can reach the bleeders? or jack up under the rear axle so you put the suspension into it's normal ride height - but be careful where you put the jack pad, you don't want to bend any suspension parts or risk dropping the vehicle on yourself!

Rear was on ramps.now dropped to normal axle level. Still can't bleed rears..
I'm now pulling hair and teeth.. understand issue with reference to axle balance issues..any other advice ??
Fyi Doblo cargo 1.9jtd..
 
Tried both..pedal and pressure bleed gadget... getting fluid to lines in to compensator..13mm or 1/2 inch side..
But nothing on 11mm to wheel side..
Realy challenging as doesn't make sense..
Tried reversing inline inputs incase of flow and return error.. does it rely on a flow / return or is it line in per side..??

That s/s allan bolt looks "odd" and does the pison the lever controls free, does it not go in and out suggesting its stuck?
 
Allan bolt now gone..pic was prior to purchasing replacement compensator..I too thought may be seized..hence replace..
Although second hand from scrap piston moves freely.anoyingly may have spent a bullseye for nothing..
 
Unfortunately no.. decided may be some form of air lock so commenced full system bleed..nearside front bleed nipple sheared off #boll *':'... waiting for replacement caliper..off side front poured air.pulled appx 1/2 ltr to clear.. hopefully things will resolve...Are you able to advise if lines to rear (per previous post) work as flow n return or 1 line in per side??

I really like the look of this idea.



No it's not a "rattle gun" but a different use for an air hammer/chisel. Bit too expensive for me to justify but there may be a way to acquire just individual pieces? I'm looking into it.

Reading your posts you do seem to have a pretty good idea what you're doing. But, and I may be telling "granny how to suck eggs" so apologies if so. The normal recommendation for bleeding is conventionally to start at the furthest from the m/cylinder and work back towards it. I find sometimes this doesn't work too well because there is just so much air in the system which can compress and defeat you. In this situation I often find success if you clamp off all flexes except the shortest and bleed it first. Then release each of the remaining clamps bleeding as you go. This usually results in fluid throughout the system but sometimes with still a little air trapped. A second conventional bleed is usually sorts that. Having said all that it's been years now since I bled brakes/clutches by pumping the pedal. I bought a Gunson eezibleed - absolutely wonderful device haven't looked back since! If you buy one follow the instructions carefully though. Too much pressure = brake fluid fountain! Nasty! This is pretty much the same kit, just marketed by Sealey:



I'm trying to get my head round your problem with the bleeding and I'm maybe missing what you mean in your question about flow? (Flow and return/1 line per side) can you explain in more detail?
 
Compensator has two lines in coming from front..are they independent feeds to each rear slaves ?or does it work on 1 in 1 out.

I'm probably confusing the issue.. because should be simple.. should I be doing something beyond the usual to get fluid to the rears past the compensator

I had the same problem with my cinq when replacing the brake fluid. Both brakes used to work before draining the old fluid but the valves were stuck closed for whatever reason afterwards. I took them off the car and when you blow air through the fewd hole nothing was coming out of the other hole. Took appart both of them and managed to get one to work (dont know how, literally just took it appart and put it back together), the other one had a ripped rubber seal so I decided to buy 2 new ones anyway. I got ones for panda isntead of the ones for a cinq since they were half the price and now everything is fine. I dont know what the valves are on a Doblo but they might also factor in the load (in weight) at the back since its a van, if that is the case then depending on how you jack up the car you might be causing tha valves to close

After reading your threads Re Cinq I dicected my old compensator and is non serviceable part.. you refer to TWO valves on Cinq !! Where is front one located?

They are 2 rear ones on the cinq, one for the right and one for the left
