Due to changing circumstances, helped to no little extent by political pressure and "correctness" (possibly), our "family fleet", which fluctuates around six to eight vehicles, has gone from being almost all diesels to now almost all petrols. Almost as long as I can remember there's been an old Panda petrol - from my daughter's "learner" a 750cc with carburettor and points type ignition through a couple of 999cc to Becky, our latest which is a 1.2 Dynamic Eco. The diesels were all either Skodas or Seats with the 1.9 VE, 1.9 PD and 1.6 CR engines all suffered EGR problems and I became really quite familiar with EGRs and Variable vane turbos (seized with soot). The VE and PD weren't too bad to do but the CR was a pig. in the end I got a specialist company to do an EGR delete on it which was very successful.

I haven't seen anything on our forum about EGR problems on the Fiat Petrol engines (I'm particularly interested in the FIRE engines in Panda and Punto) In fact I thought they didn't have one but now I've found Becky's and I'm just wondering if they give any trouble?
