It was my Multiecuscan's first birthday last month and I've had my VAG-COM (now called VCDS) for a number of years. I use them mostly for checking and erasing DTC's, service resets, and other simpler functions. There's still a lot for me to learn though! They are very useful tools and I can recommend to anyone who wants to get seriously involved and stop handing over shed loads of dosh to garages! The VCDS is for use on VW/Audi group (VAG) vehicles and Multiecuscan's abilities are known to many of us on this forum. I also use VCDS in generic mode to do OBD DTC checks on some of the other (non VAG/Fiat) vehicles in the family. (I believe MES can do this too but haven't tried it yet).

So, I'm feeling ready to get more adventurous! I'd like an oscilloscope! As my other "serious" gear is PC based and I'm getting used to this way of working, I think a PC package would suit me best (Pico, Hantek, Foxwell etc). I'd really like a 2channel Pico but the cost is just out of my reach and I worry about the quality and ease of use of the cheaper Chinese offerings.

So - anyone have experience of these more affordable pieces of kit? Or have any advice to give me?

Just as a quick addition, for anyone who was following "Becky's" water leak? There is still no sign of any water collecting in the boot!! Whoo hoo!

Kind regards
Jock.
