So I came across this website showing different gearbox codes for Fiat's and matching other brands/types. Does this mean that let's say for example a gearbox from a 08 panda with a 1.1 engine will fit one on one in a golf from 97 with a 1.9 engine and vice versa?

I work as a car recycler/disassembler for about 9 years and find this hard to believe, but if it's true, I might just have found a sh*tload of spare gearbox parts for my turbo build project.
