Hi i have the fiat idea 1.4 eleganza semi auto petrol with the eco setting. When i put it the eco setting on it will drive a few miles or even days totally fine but then all of a sudden will bounce out of gear and go straight into neutral. My boyfriend is a mechanic and he has put it on the computer to see if any fault codes come up and nothing comes up! When it does this you have to switch the engine off and on while trying to select drive which sometimes can take the best part of 5-10 mins till you actually hear the gearbox engage drive. Does anyone have any ideas what this can be? Is this a common fault? Im new so please be nice thanks
