In the UK there are specialists that will re-temper steel leaf springs. Hopefully you can find one in Italy too. Leaf springs last a long time, so what are you doing to give them a hard time? Should you instead be looking at a different spec for the type of work it does, or are you suing the wrong vehicle?
Composite springs, designed to replace existing steel ones, would be specified to do the same job. If the use they get is more than expected, they will fail the same as the steel ones.
