Hi all,

Just wanted to see if i could get any info on the cause of the problem mentioned above in my 2005 scudo 1.9D non-turbo. It first started about a month ago and the vibration was accompanied by a light metallic clang everytime i would press down on the clutch pedal. Recently the noise has disappeared but the vibration through the pedal has got a lot more aggressive.

I just want to know if this is clutch or a Flywheel related problem as i do not know if it has a Dual Mass Flywheel or not!

Any help welcome, thanks for looking

Regards, Sailfish

hi,
I can't say for sure..,
but with a time-expire DMF you can get a "chirping" sound as you turn off the engine , as the parts decelerate,
does it do this ?/ similar ??,

does the clutch sound happen as you pump the clutch pedal in neutral..?,

Charlie

Thanks for the reply charlie,

Rang my local dealership and asked about my van having a DMF but its a solid.
When looking at the gearbox the release fork has an abnormal amount of movement so i think the release bearing is the blame.

The noise made when i pressed down on the clutch has been gone about a week so cant really check for it anymore.
