The manual is there in the downloads section for free in all its vast hugeness.
Service intervals for what?
Assuming oil, 9,000 miles or 12 months, whichever occurs first.
10 or 15/40 semi synthetic.

But changing at 6,000 mile intervals and using a higher-quality oil, would help the engine last longer.
Debatable.
If engine life was the only consideration, I'd either use a quality synthetic at recommended intervals or a semi synth at 6k miles. Filter change with oil at all events.
The former would be far more expensive.
In testing, full synthetics changed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations have resulted in engines with no measureable wear after big mileages.
Completely agree, do this on my Mondeo diesel, its done 165,000 plus now and pulls like a train.
I think the Mondeo deisels regularly do 200,000+.
165,000 doesn't seem OTT for a Subaru Imprezza, if eBay is to be believed!
To my mind, wasting the earth's resources on an engine producing 50bhp/litre is a bit perverse: nothing in it is stressed.

Folks,
Can someone advise please, what oil is best / recommended for the Seicento Mpi 1.1 engines??
Also, what are the recommended service intervals?
