I just got my EGR valve closed off this weekend.
I have driven quite some miles since and experienced a better pick up when cruizing and no more juddering when driving of with a slightly cooled engine.

Big but: the economy of the car has dropped?
I usualy drove 700 to 800Km's on 40 liters.
Now it's 600 to 700 km's.

The same drive every day so that hasn't changed.

I thought the economy should stay thesame or slighty increase with the EGR closed off.
Should I reset the ECU paramaters so it can learn again with the EGR blanket off?

Wait a little longer, drive some more.
I'm sure your expectations will come true after some more time.
I closed the EGR almost completely ( 4 hole gasket) on my Alfa GT jtd some months ago, drivability went up, but mpg stayed the same.

It may be the use of the extra performance is causing the drop in mpg. Did you leave the EGR electrically connected if not it will trigger an error code. I blocked my EGR 3 years ago on a JTD and got better performance amd mpg but made the mistake of putting the blanking plate on the engine side of the EGR; it eventually sooted up and made the EGR piston stick and that caused an error code; have now cleaned it and put the plate on the exhaust side and cleared the code so ok now. Before I first blanked it the inlet manifold was caked with soot and had to clean it all out.......
Might be worth checking for codes and clearing them and/or doing a reset......

I'm not using the power very much, I cruise control pretty much all the way.
I did a reset with multiecuscan but that just resets the cruise control and climate control.
Or am I in the wrong menu?

Got no error's what so ever.
I will have to relocate the blanking plate as the bolted it on the engine side.
