Dear All

I have recently purchased a 2008 1.2 lounge and shortly after driving the vehicle started to see messages on the instrument cluster saying 'have power steering checked'.

This was then followed by the odometer flashing and the steering wheel buttons not working correctly.

I have been informed by fiat that the problems are due to a failing body control module.

Where is the unit located and can they be changed privately.

Kind regards

Greg

any changes to the Cars control unit modules will require what's called 'Proxi alignment' basically fiat need to put it on a computer to teach all the modules how to work together. so you can change it but it will still need to take it to fiat to get things working properly

There is a update for steering light coming on when starting vehicle! And I presume you have tried disconnecting battery and that's could be why Milage flashing so a proxy alignment is needed! Just a little advise might not cure it but worth a try!
