are there any LED gurus out there in the forum? if so may i pick your brains on a little problem i'm having?

today i thought i'ld have a go at fitting some interior LED's in the boot. i had four small lights knocking about in the garage which i got free from a magazine one time so i thought "these will do" and set about wiring them up to the interior boot light so they would come on instead of the normal light. i tried them straight on to the battery and they work fine, so i thought game on, only when i tried it on the boot light wiring, they just flash very dimley? why is this? is it a lack of current? the old boot light takes a side ligh bulb and is very bright so surley it can't be that?............. can it?

The boot light is canbus controlled, so probably thinks the bulbs has blown and so isn't providing a decent lower supply. Might need to fit an inline resistor.

ahhh i see? where do you think i could get on of those? and is it a simple fit?

eBay. Something like item number 330698749966, but you won't need a pair. Just be warned that if the light is on for long periods of time though that the resistor will get very warm!
