Almost anything but the plugs. A decent service wouldn't go amiss, however............

Oil change, Air filter change (or get a gsr ;) ), gearbox oil change, new plugs, check tyre pressures, check brake wear.
Lots of things can contribute to lacking acceleration.

a basic service should help you out with this but another thing, is to check your exhaust. Dont really advise doing this but try putting a glove on and covering the end of your exhaust when your cars idleing and cold. listen for any high pitched hissing or rattles.

This should tell you if youve got a hole in the exhaust and its "blowing".
As this can contribute to lacking acceleration :)

Hope this helps

Cheers

take it out away from civilisation for a good burn out.but be carefull!
probably carbon build up in your engine that needs to be burned out,you can check for carbon build up yourself by taking out a spark plug and looking inside with a torch.also your fuel line might have crud which could be stopping good flow of fuel, also back brakes could be jamed, you can check yourself by jackking up the car put bricks on the front and take handbrake off, then turn the wheels, they should spin easily.hope this helps, i had the same problem as you and all these things slowed my car down

Misread that for a start and thought you wanted him to set it on fire!!!! haha

I wouldnt advise doing burnouts, but just over rev it a bit near the limiter when the engines hot to burn off some carbon. Check your plugs for dirt and damage, and if so.. give them a quick clean with a wire brush or something or just replace them.

lots of things can make a car drop power. But a full service should give it back some vitality

Cheers

i have serviced it, done it all myself
new oil ( engine and box)
filters ( oil and air )
plugs
plug leads
front discs and pads
and its still dead on power? like foot to the floor in 3rd and it takes ages to pull or climb thru the revs

i had my back brakes checked and i was told that who ever did them last time did them with the handbrake up causing the brakes to brake constantly until nothing was left!
