Hey guys,

I require torque settings for big ends, main bearings and cylinderhead for the 2006 strada 1.7td. The Fiat service centre over here are closed :bang: but we would like to have the engine running tomorrow and all we require are the torue settings and sequence .

Your assistance is greatly appreciated :worship:.

Regards
Roelof

Hi

Nearest I can get is the Regata Diesel

Type: 138 B6.000
CC: 1714

Cylinder Head to Crankcase, M14x1.25 = 6daNm +90 degrees + 90 degrees
Cylinder Head to Crankcase, M12x1.25 = 6daNm +90 degrees + 90 degrees

Big Ends, M10x1.0 = 7.4daNm

Front Bearing Cap Bolt, M10x1.25 = 8 daNm
Intermediate and centrak bearing cap bolt, M12x1.25 = 11.3daNm
Front and Rear bearing cap bolts, M12x1.25 = 11.3daNma

Head tighten sequence is:

08 06 02 05 10
07 03 01 04 09

Lubricate bolts
Tighten in sequence to 3 daNm
Tighten again in sequence to 6 daNm
Tighten again in sequence to + 90 degrees
Tighten again in sequence to + 90 degrees

This is what I see in the Regata Service Manual - July 1983 - 2000

From the above there would appear to be possibly different bolts sizes for some and thus I suggest you carefully check what you actually have on the engine.

I would add - if you are a business/garage then you might like make a financial contibution to the Fiat Forum and even ME...... We could have saved you from an angry customer who's car would not be ready, or done incorrectly, by the time you promised.

Sadly I am not asking on behalf of a garage, its a privately owned vehicle that belongs to my dad, the engine seized up a month ago, we had to order parts and it only arrived a week ago, we have been slowly putting it back together but require the settings.

He needs the vehicle to get to work when his leave time is over.

Unfortunately the bolt sizes do not match for the cranks caps and big ends

I have made a donation towards the fiat forum but was not logged in, so it says anynomus, but luckily my message attached to it shows I still require the torque settings.
