I need to change to clocks/dash!
The milage dial is a modern digital display, if i change the clocks over for second hand ones will they display the same miles that this car has done, or will it be the miles from the car they are taken from???
If so do you know how i over come the change in miles as i'm about to sell it??

Some quick responses would be appreciated, I need to purchase some clocks off ebay that are about to end!

My car is the punto 2003 (03 plate), 5 door, 1.2, its the 5million model they brought out.

Mileage will change.

You can either leave it as is (declare the real mileage when selling, old MOTs to back it up), have it zeroed (as above), have it reset to the correct mileage. Every large village seems to have a place that ill reset digital odometers.

any idea how much it will cost to reset?

whodo i go to to get it done? a normal mechanic?

I just found out the milage count is kept on the ECU, not the clocks so the new clocks should read the same.

Unless your going to tell me the ECU is on the clocks!? Where is it?

Your mileage will change and will be what is on the replacement clocks

mileage can be increased if your new cluster is less than the actual mileage but not backwards or reset to zero.
