So... your air flows really rubbish....
You remove the pollen filter and find its clogged up... leaves and other bits.

Do you replace it or just bin it?

Every car I've owned apart from my current ( Stilo ) and a SLK320 did not have a pollen filter.

So I've been thinking why bother putting another in?

Maybe you might get a few leaves flapping about at the vents but they can be pulled out fairly easily.

On the plus side, save 15 quid, get much better air flow.

Thoughts on a SAE please.

cuts down dust/pollen entering the cabin, odour filters treat aircon smells. Its up to you if you change or dispense with it.

Dust will build up on the aircon matrix and get smelly. It will also dirty up the heater matrix and the cabin. The fact the filter gets dirty shows just how much cr*p the passengers have NOT been breathing.
