I have a Fiat Doblo Multijet Diesel.

I have had the onboard computer tested and calibrated by the fiat main dealer but the warning light for the oil is flashing when you start up after 20 seconds with the dashboard reading saying change engine oil.

It has been all changed and serviced prior to the computer being reset.

Anyone any idea what the problem might be?

Thank you in advance.

take it back to the dealer and get them to reset the oil service.

Mondern cars, epsecially diesels with DPF filters have TWO service counters. One for the annual / x miles service (normally 12K miles / 365 days) and one for the oil change which is variable depending on usage and total age.

Looks like they just reset the normal service and not the oil service.

Thank you for replying.

We have now got the engine failure light.

you have the engine light (and no doubt error P1206) because the ECU thinks the oil degredation (state of the oil/efficiency) is poor. Once the oil degredation index (in the ECU) has been reset & ECU updated all should be well.

The engine failure light was not showing when all was reset by the Fiat machine.

The service light went out so that was fine but the oil warning light came back on followed a day later by the engine failure light and they have no reason why this is happening.

There was no print out to know what code if any was wrong.
