Hello guys,
Through reading these forums, I have come to the conclusion that most induction kits are not worth the oil-soaked cotton they are made of. It seems that many put the filter cone right above the hot engine head, delivering warm, oxygen diminished air. Even the stock air box was built with the common sense to source the air from the front far side of the bonnet where it is at least cold.
One kit that seems worth its salt is that by GSR. I just need to clarify, is this the same GSR I have found on the website www.gsrengineering.com?
This is an aside, but I also notice on the website that engine remaps are advertised. I thought that the Punto 55s ECU has volatile memory, so are the benefits of the remap lost as soon as I disconnect the battery negative cable, or do they add some non-volatile component to account for this?
Many thanks,
Mike
