Over the last couple of weeks I've had the Stilo MW tell me that the oil level is low and to switch off the engine. The first time I found the oil level about half way up the marking on the dipstick, so I topped it up with about 1 litre of oil. Each time it's happened I've checked the oil level and it's fine. Has anyone else had this warning? Is it something to worry about?

Hi All,

I have been getting 'Oil level to High', 'Oil Level Low' and 'Oil level sensor fail' messages each time I start the car. As I have had experience with Fiats 'Excellent Wiring', I thought it may be a bad connection, as there is nothing wrong with the physical oil level. I visited the main dealer today to find out a price for the sensor, and the location of it. They couldn't help me :( Does anybody out there know where this sensor is, and how to remove/clean/replace it? I am planning on doing an oil change in the next couple of days, so it would be good to sort this out at the same time.

Many thanks

Your oil filter sounds like it's getting blocked. Do an oil and filter change and it'll stop.;) Mine used to do that untill I started changing the oil and filter in between services.
