General tinted windows anyone?

does anyone happen to know if tinting your windows affects your warranty? sounds a stupid question i know! Also do you let your insurers know about um to? and my final question...does anyone happen to know where i can get my Stilo done in south west wales and what price to expect for the whole car!!??

don't expect tinting would affect your warranty. let the insurers know, always safer to do that. prob no increase but at least they can't say you didn't tell them if anything happens

here in my country you cannot register your car if you have aftermarket tinted windows ... stupid LAW.

You need to inform your insurance company about this as it is a modification and some (not all) will hike up your premium.

Also be careful as some tints are illegal. A new law passed recently states windows must have a total light transmission of not less than 28 percent through both sun screening and glazing.

Some window tint companies also double tints up with security glass which is unbreakbale - this may help the insurance case by saying it's a security measure. A company I've heard good things about is called pentagon glass have a look here http://www.pentagonglasstech.com/homepage.asp
