I got a "new" stilo - new to me anyway and as we are moving to Spain imminently I bought a LHD one.

All is well and its a nice little car (1.9 TDI Estate).

The only problem is the user manual is TOTALLY in Italian. Does anyone know of anywhere I can download on in English?

and

in the meantime... wtf is the "CITY" button for down near the gearstick?

Thanks muchly!

James

I expect he meant there's more chance of damaging tyres/suspension etc.

....and also even less feel of the road :(

Can't say I ever use mine but very handy if you ever break your hand

Decks does its his wussy button

I use it to assist me with parking - wow, it's being used for what it's designed for!! :p

Although why Mk.2 Punto's had it god only knows . . . they needed a "COUNTRY" button to make the steering harder!!!

I use CITY on occasions. Pointless paying for these extras and then not using them. I've been known to use the sun visor now and again as well:)

ARGO and he pumps his tyres up hard
Nah I don't. I just don't have them too soft so the car is wallowing about. Somewhere between too soft and Viagra setting is the "just right" for me

A little known fact re CITY setting is that it alters the ECU MAP just very slightly between CITY and non CITY (or sport mode as they call it). This gives an easier power take up at lower revs, easier control and smoother running when drivng in town traffic. It's very subtle though, look at this official Fiat chart re Sport v CITY mode and you can see the gas pedal % angle v the throttle pedal % angle difference

Give it a try and see if you can feel the difference between CITY and SPORT;)

Blimey Decks, you never cease to amaze me with the facts you come out with (y)

I think I might give it a try on that basis - defno won't be using it for parking though (might hit the herb  ) :p

Din't know about it, not in the manual!

I don't use the City mode but will try it as it seems my Schumy suffers when driving downtown. :)
