Hi guys

I have a problem. My Fiat Stilo 1.4 Active Sport has some really good performance, but every so often it kind of feels flat. On a good day it will push me back and feel lively from 2000 RPM upwards. On other days it still pulls, but does not have the same push back feeling. I've tried different fuels and it still does the same thing. Any ideas on this? It's only a year old.

Maybe your arse dyno is less sensitive some days? Just a thought!

LOL. Now now!!! I know what you mean, but regardless of what engine your car is it should perform the same on all days. Talking of performance (grin) I also drive a 520 and that behaves and performs well everyday.

I'm trying to pick your brains here, not look for jokes LOL, becayse I need to take the car back to the garage.

You should take it to the garage on a bad day for a diagnostic, intermittent faults are hard to detect and a pain in the bottom!

Could it be that your driving the Stilo then the 520 so it feels normal... then when you drive the more powerful 520 then drive the Stilo it feels less perky.

Seriously if its just a tiny bit of different it could just be how your feeling on that day thats impacting on how you feel the car is performing.

As regards twincamms, i bite? Man you were the one right in there dissing everyones motors! I'm actually glad you've still got your 1.6 Stilo, at least thats one more decent Stilo owner out there... Not someone who whinges and bitches about his car all the time.... other than economy lol, but we'll let you have that one.... just one though!

I can't bitch about my Stilo, she's served me well.

My only gripe is that FIAT were originally going to replace the Stilo in February 2007, they have foregone that decision and launched it as the Bravo instead and to add insult to injury, only made it in a five door variant. I was considering buying a NEW Stilo, but the new Bravo doesn't do it for me, maybe if they make a three door................................

All the more reason to keep your Stilo.... i will be.... i mean its a Fiat so it depreciates quicker than Titanic sank... makes it worth hanging onto, drive it 'till its worth nothing, drive it to the scrappers in 5 years lol..... oh or sell it on Ebay... serves the same purpose!
