Oct 06: Service Solution for Front Suspension Springs

Description: On some fiat Stilo models under environmental conditions that require intensive use of salt on the roads, corrosive deposits may infiltrate the rubber plate supporting the front suspension spring, starting seats of corrosion which may lead to breakage of the spring after a period of time.
To avoid damage to the tyre should a spring break, a service solution has been identified which involves fitting a plate to contain the spring.

Vehicles Affected: All UK Stilo's from the start of production to chassis number 00644197. Recall being phased into different countries (now in France).

June 05: Possible Loss of Steering

Description: Excess play between steering rack and pinion leading to noise and possible loss of steering when parking.
Recalled vehicles will have the steering pinion bearing preload adjusted, or the steering rack assembly will be replaced as necessary.

Vehicles Affected: 1.8 and 2.4 models only, from the start of production to chassis number 436250.

June 05: Software Update

Description: Engine ECU Software update to correct a software error, to avoid an incorrect error message being displayed.

Vehicles Affected: JTD Models only, unknown chassis number range.

May 03: Unintended Activation of Side Window Airbags

Description: It is possible for the side window air bags to deploy unintentionally. The Airbag ECU will be checked, and replaced if necessary.

Vehicles Affected: All Stilo's, from chassis number 1816 to 199037.

March 03: Possible Short Circuit in Engine Cooling Fan Control Circuit

Description: A short circuit may occur in the engine cooling fan control unit with a resultant risk of overheating. Affected vehicles will have a new cooling fan control unit fitted.

Vehicles Affected: 1.8, 2.4 and JTD models only, from chassis number 56008 to 117558.
