The headlamp stalk on my car won't push forward to give full beam. You can pull it back to flash, but not engage it permenantly.

Has anyone else had this problem? - I'm guessing its a new part, but having looked at the amount of disassemly required, I'm wondering whether to bother. It doesn't really cause me a problem, and with all the electrics on the steering wheel of the Abarth, I really don't want the dealer to cock it up!

Hi PJP,

If you have the stalk in auto(with the light sensor on) you won´t be able to do this.

Put it in manual and then try it [8D].

It will work

Yep Vitsuv's right. You can't put full beam on if your using the auto headlights. You need to go onto manual dipped beam and then push it forward (assuming you've got it switched to auto headlights :I)

It also won't push forward if the lights are switched off on cars without auto headlights.

Thanks guys it works:I

I just looked at the manual and now understand what the bad translation means:p

I really can't see why they have designed it this way - what is the point of having auto headlights if you can't use full beam[?]
Oh well, at least it ain't broke [^]
