Stilo radio code

Hi Can anyone help me please.
I have just bought a replacement visteon radio cassette for my wifes stilo from ebay.
The seller told me he had the code but has not sent it and says now he cant find it.
How can i get this code.
The serial number is M092920

Re: Stilo radio code

Hi, I've never had to enter a code on replacement of radio/cassette/cd. This may be because it recognizes the car it has come out of.
I'm not sure where you live, but you could try a car audio supplier who would be able to unlock it, problems is this usually costs 30-50 which is more, I suspect, than you paid for it. The alternative is an aftermarket system and a facia which are inexpensive, depending on the route you choose.
What was the problem with your original r/c?

Re: Radio code

Can anyone help me out with the code for M001803 the one i got give with it was 5165 and wont work.

You have wrong key. Correct one is "5228" and it is calculated via Visteon code calculator.

Try it and please inform me if it is correct or not but I have checked several units and always it gives me correct code.

Radio code

Hi, New to the Fiat Forum.

I have a 53 reg stilo multiwagon where the Visteon CD/Radio packed up.

I have a new Visteon Tape/Radio for the car but the security code was not supplied.

What is the best way to find this? I have seen sites on the internet that will mail the security code to you. Are these reliable as when i put in the serial number it said that they had the code for my Ford stereo?

Thanks

Anthony.

Re: Radio code needed

Hi need radio code for fiat brava radio code. made by Grundig

the details are SERIAL No. FA0925W3093184

at the bottom it has these details: AD 182 H
No. 7796721

please help if you can

Sorry but for this model I must have eeprom dump. Inside is eeprom 24C08. You must desolder it (only 8 pins), put it into eeprom programer and dump eeprom. When you get file than you can calculate CODE for it. For Stilo Visteon radio I have Off line CODE calculator from s/n. If you want to do this I can send you CODE calculator for your model.

The code worked a treat, Thank You very much:D

Just a question, the central operating knob & FF button on the replacement looked a bit grubby, so I wiped them with a damp cloth, strangely they became very sticky, is this usual, as I've never tried to clean the front of the unit before.

Also does the cenral control Knob come/pull off easily as my old one looks a lot less worn?

P.S.

Any chance of obtaining a copy of the de-coding progarmme?

Cheers

Bri

Re: 02 Stilo Radio code needed

the knobs are coated with a special rubberish paint for grip and matt surface.
in time it can become sticky and partially disappear , maybe you can change the knobs with your old unit if they are in better condition?
regarding the code generator - it can be found on the internet, use the brand of the radio for searching.....
good luck!
