Hello, just bought a new Fiat stilo. Lowered it and now looking for fat wheels. I ordered a set of 7x17" ET 35 with 215x45 tyres. but I didn´t like them when i saw them..I canceled them. Now I´m looking for bigger wheels. thinking about 18" anyone with some experience of that?

please help me...:p

Hiya mate,

I've fitted seventeens to mine and they look smart but each to their own. Theres been a post on the pros and cons of 18's already, its here : https://www.fiatforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8036

I've only seen one Stilo with 18s on the internet and the wheels looked good damn big ... but anyway i consider the 17s much better solution since FIAT (according to the manual) only support up to 17s for the stilo.IMO 18s are too big and having 225s down there will make the car much slower.
its up to you than

HI,
just waiting for mail to get my 18"
look out for the ET value (not above 40)
tyres will be 225/40

and if my car slows down i-I'll just remap it.

Have fun on the search.

Cathy, your car looks ace:D

I take it its lowered too? Any probs fitting the 18's tho?

I knew it would be possible, considering people put 17s on Cinqs, but surely you must have needed to make some mods tho?

hey, sorry been busy. no problems fitting 18's. the arches are so huge, you could put 20's on no probs. it is lowered by 40mm. it is going next week to get a spoiler on and bumper strips sprayed etc, so i will post up a decent pic. when it is all finished :)

you think you can fit20s? how much for spraying the bumper strips?

TC great AVATAR :))))

I'm tempted to get the bumper strips sprayed too, either that or fit the new Abarth kit, depends how much £££ I have when I renew my insurance towards the end of the year, definitely want the sideskirts tho.

20's you reckon? that'd be awesome! So you didn't need to remove the wheel arch liners or anything[?]

I'll have to say don't go over 19 inch
First problem tire size 20 inch Smallest is 275/30
Second is rim width would be 9,5 inch
Final problem is overall diameter is to big
Follows your speedometer is no longer correct
I found however 19 inch possibility 225/35
The prize is not so cheap anymore about 300 pounds for one tyre

I'm going to pay about 900£ for my set 18 inch 225/40 wheels
