Anyone know what the drive set-up is on the front door window of the 5 door Stilo?
I have some strange noises coming from the window when it is operating. The window operates perfectly, just worrying noise. Before I remove the panel for a look, I just wondered if anyone knew what the set-up was.

Its cable operated (mounted on metal panel) if thats what you mean?

Thanks T14086, this is what I wanted to know, as I was unsure if it was cable drive or direct gear drive.

T14, I don't think there is anything broken as the window operates perfectly, it just makes a strange noise - like if there was a thin film of ice on the window and it was being scraped off. Even then through the whole cycle of the window going all the way down it is scraping noise - quiet - scraping noise - quiet - scraping noise - quiet, then the exact same on the way back up!
Very strange

Could be the window seal/outer scraping the glass or at worse the cable is rubbing against something.Try taking off the outer seal (known as scraper) & see if noise goes away.
