Can anyone please help, i have had a new cd player installed in my stilo 1.4 active 04 plate, since then the engine warning message is coming up and i am finding it hard to start the car.

Could this be due to the new cd player?

Did your problems start IMMEDIATELY after the cd was fitted?
Was the CDPlayer fitted professionally?
What warning message is showing?

Yes had prob since it was fitted and yes it was fitted by a professional, warning message just says engine fault with a spanner next to it, engine eventually starts. Feels as if its lacking the power to start

I would take it straight back to the 'professional' Katie. Seems they have done something they shouldn't have - can't imagine what though.

Sound advice. Could have wired it wrong, triggering a warning and making the battery go flat

They need to ensure that the wires with CAN feeds on the Stilo loom are not connected to the stereo in anyway (had this issue when I worked for halfords). What you need to do is remove stereo, check that no wires are going from the stereo loom to the CAN lines of the radio (they are 2 small pink and white cables); if there are, but them ON THE STEREO LOOM!!!

If that doesn't work, maybe they've blown a fuse?
