hi, im really looking in to getting one of those speed dodathingymajiggs. the roadangel comes with a lazer detector but dunno if i need that cause i aint gona speed just wana know where those darn hotspots are, more to the point of this post, what would people say were the best low cost one, dont mind about the yearly contract that much, just one that is reliable, plus i want it in my stilo somewhere no prying eyes can see it so it is always there and goes on when the car starts but also doesnt have to move position, my gps for my phone works if its in the sunglasses shelf but i would need a huge wire to go round the window and all, which if available i dont mind or unless someone has a brighter idea (well thats not difficult), im up for any comments

depends on your budget, you could have a connect nav fitted but depending on your car you may not be able to.

errm dont have any other suggestions really  unless you could get one of them fancy lcd screen that pop out the stereo.... don't really know if they do that or not

my budget is under £200 i quite like the Snooper S2 with its 2 red and 2blue lights and is real small but no idea where to shove it, they should really think about disguising these things for people as paranoid as me, lol

though thinking about it id stretch my budget for a flip down screen as long as my warenty on the car wont be void by it :eek:S

Active Matt work for a company that does these doesn't he send him a PM he still logs in from time to time ask his advise maybe he could get you discount  Dan you still on about Popping out things :D

Yep he had a complimentary set of Combs and brushes free with it so I'm told :p

ah activematt iv been told to ask you about what you would do or if u have any ideas to conceal a gps camera detector from the view of a theif-chav.any ideas greatly appreciated. :)

oh, now thats a thought, there is one where the sensor is in the engin bay but the display is in the cab, one thing, the overhead sun glasses shelf has lights so a power source, is there enough power going through to power anything more than 3 lights?

I think most camera detectors have the ability to be removed from sight when parked up, ours uses a system of having a magnetic mount that is stuck to your dash of which the detector just sits on, thus making it very easy to take on and off.
We also have the option of having an external gps antenna, this means that you can conceal the unit away and just route the antenna to see the sky so giving the unit its necessary gps reception.

Personally i would avoid units that incorporate the use of laser or radar detection as these are in the process of being outlawed, i believe most units are going away from this form of detection although there are some still on the market.

cool, cheers, whats ur company and where r u based, oh and how much dollar roughly oh and do u fit wires or just a cig lighter - wire - device job?
