Could someone pls help me i just got a Stilo Dynamic today with a standard CD/RADIO but the ****ing thing won't turn on and to add to the crisis the owners manuals are in DUTCH!!![:(!] is there anything i might be doing wrong?? or is there anywere i could get a ENGLISH manual (online preferably) as i need it ASAP !!!!

;)[?];)HELP PLS!!!!!!!

Well if it won't even turn on the manual won't help you! [V]

If its coming at all what is it doing? Maybe its one of the fuse's has blown? Scarily i opened the fuse box inside my car one day and a fuse appeared and fell out... :( Seems to have been a "spare" as nothing has stopped working.

2003 3 Door Stilo 1.2 Active, Sassy Grey, 5 disc CD Changer, plastic wheel trims - and 41.7mpg average so far. Love it, Oh yes!

Stilo Alian,
No manuals online that I know of.
Press the button in the centre to turn the radio on.
Is everything else working as in the previous post
has the fuse blown or not been put in.
Had the same problem fuse was not in when I picked the
car up.

Give your dealer a ring.
Ring me if you need more help.

According to the manual that came with my 1.6 Active, the fuse for the radio is located in the dashboard fusebox and is rated at 10 amps. It shown in the diagram below as F39

dash_fuse.jpg

According to the manual, this fuse is used for:

  • Front/rear ceiling light/s
  • Sound System
  • Connect/Navigator
  • Heater/Climate Control System
  • Volumetric sensors/Alarm siren
  • EOBD system diagnosis socket
  • Intimity handset provision
  • Tyre pressure control unit

If the fuse checks out, the next question has got to be whether the plugs are securely inserted into the back of the head unit. I believe that the holes for the removal tools are not spaced for the tools you can by from your local motor factor so some improvisation will be required in removing the head unit.

1.2 Dynamic? I didn't know they did one?

Hope you get your radio sorted, I would probably take it back to your dealer, surprised they didn't run through the basic operation of everything when you got it actually:(

Lovely Sprint Blue Stilo - And no money to mod it!

HEY JAMES

Sry i meant to say 1.6 DYNAMIC (see i changed it ^^):p U see the thing is i din't buy it from a dealer i bought it directly from FIAT IRELAND (i kinda got to know someone there) and SAVED €4000 not that much but hey it's a few more extras;)

Great Crystal Green 1.6 16V dynamic, skywindow, leather, climate control and a small prob my radio don't work[V]

Not that much? Its a small fortune mate:D

I see you got leather... I don't like you no more;)

Still, any Fiat dealer should cover you for warranty issues.

Lovely Sprint Blue Stilo - And no money to mod it!

LOL i spose it is [8D] u don't like leather or just don't have it and want it???;)i just got leather cause i could get it a bit cheaper i wanted a cd changer aswell but they din't have one in stock and i din't wana wait 2months[:(!] FIAT Will fix it i mean i only got it yesterday they have to what i don't understand is how the could give a customer a F***ed UP car i will be taking my complaint to MANAGEMENT. I mean like it was pouring rain lastnight and i have a windscreen that leaks aswell!!!! i never thought FIAT would go this LOW [V]

I'm just jealous of your leather:D

When I ordered mine from Jamjar, they had two in stock, one with and one without leather, as I thought the leather was a reasonable price I said I'd have that one, I then got well chuffed with the idea and was very pleased, untill Jamjar rang back and said 'by the way, the one with leather has already gone'[:0]

So, like you I didn't want to wait on a factory order. Thing is I never even really thought about it til they offered me it:D

I love the car though, it is great, I may trade in though before too long for one with a few extra's, like leather, if I can afford to, the yet to be released JTD 140 is tempting to;)

Anyway, I'm sure once you get your niggles sorted you'll love it, what colour is your leather BTW?

Lovely Sprint Blue Stilo - And no money to mod it!

MY leather is i kind of BEIGE/CREAM color it looks savage with the crystal green[8D] Same here with the leather option i din't rely care but then i thought why the hell not :p i am thinking about going for an ABARTH i love that car but i would be bankrupt if i have to insure my GF on that[:(!]lol I'm paying quit alot at the moment on this on so i will see in a few months!!

Great Crystal Green 1.6 16V dynamic,skywindow,leather,climate control :p

Yeah, I do too many miles for an Abarth, also the insurance would be silly:)

Lovely Sprint Blue Stilo - And no money to mod it!

YA they are kinda mad with insurance prices these days[:(!] Good news i just spoke to my mate (who works for FIAT) and they are going to come get my car today and should have it back by tomorrow and they will give me a courtousy car for the time being :Dsomehow they managed to scratch the front of the radio at some point aswell so i told them i want it replaced and he said thats fine they will!!!! (it's good to know ppl in management):p:D

JamesM, why not just get one of those angel tuning boxes that humps the 115bhp model up to 150bhp! Its the same as Fiat will do no doubt!

Surprised at you suggesting this, it'll nack the warranty, plus its an insurance sore point, I haven't ruled it out tho;)

But the multijet is supposed to be a much nicer motor, plus imagine that remapped:D

ALien, so how does the JTD compare with your 1.6, never had the opportunity to compare mine with a petrol:(

I did assume you'd at least keep the car for 1 year, at which point there may be a 140bhp version, but why get kicked in the plums trading in when you can just "upgrade"! ;)

i think there is a big difference ... the 140bhp is multijet and the 115bhp pumps the oil in one point ... right?so that makes the 140bhp more powerfull and less thirsty imo

How exactly can a 140bhp multijet be more powerful than a "single" jet 150bhp motor? :p It doesn't compute!

I understand it may be more economic, and possibly more environmentally friendly!
