Just had a letter from my local dealer saying my car is "subject to a safety recall" !!

Something to do with a steering problem!

Sorry if this is up as a thread elsewhere, I'm new!!

Anyone know anything about this????

Yeah got Stilo. 1.8 Dyn with Abarth body.

Only had a year, been load of hassle....!!!

Theres an old steering recall,but as you have only just got the letter it could be the springs

When I called to book it in to be checked over, the guy said it was some problem with steering!
Had to renew the power steering unit couple of months ago, £800+ !!
I'm kinda hoping it is a steering problem, maybe I'll get my cash back !!!

yeah i had mine done a while back, its something 2 do with the rack and not the coil springs thats another recal(lol). my steering rack needed replacing and they would not honour the warranty because the 1st service was a couple of hundred miles. nothing mentioned at the time of course. but when i had the recal done they also changed steering rack and didnt charge me a bean, saving me £300+, pleasant surprise. as for you getting your cash back, good luck but unlikely.
