Well first of i would like to say, i have been an avid browser of the fiat forum, and find your website to be quite helpful.
The reason for this thread is that i have come to a fork in my likfe, at present i own a fiat bravo 1.2 16v, V reg, with the following problems, two minor dents both claimed on insurance, 1 total payout and fixed, then damaged again on the same side, and only half payout to fix, didnt bother, and kept the money, the other dent was caused by myself, i have a none working speedo, and up until recently a buckled front passenger alloy wheel, i moved the buckled wheel to the back, but when steering the car made a like wheel whirring sound, anyway i have since stopped driving it.
AND have been since looking for a replacement namely a Stilo,
I found one, a Fiat Stilo 1.6 Dynamic 52 plate, for £3999. ONE PREVIOUS OWNER and 2600 miles on the clock, fully serviced/mot'd/6mnths tax. Due to the price I have decided i may finance it, at 10%, which over three years is about £1500, paying £152.89 pm. Now i have been accepted on the finance deal and should be going to the garage tommorow..Pylon Cars, Tipton....to read through the finance agreement, test drive and make a decision.

What do you all think is it a good offer or should i just wait, the reason i have not yet got rid of my bravo is becasue this woman crashed into me while i was doin a three point turn (she smashed my headlights, minor paint work damage and pushed my bonnet over to the right frm the left, so its sligthly raised), plus i would have givin my car as deposit, but due to the present condition i decided not to.

Sorry for my drivvle, im frm the west midlands, wolves actually.

i would gretaly appreciate your views and advice.

10% is a bit steep mate, you can get that lower, 3 years ago i got 6% off a fiat dealer, and as there are no fees with it, it actually worked out cheaper than their interest free option!

As for prices, not really checked them for a while, but again does seem a little steep as someone on here picked up a 5dr for about £1950 at auction (similar year and you dont say if the one you have seen is a 5dr or are 3dr).

On reflection if i was to sell my 03 plate i would possibly ask a similar price.

I agree. Far better to borrow the money (if you need to) and then get a Stilo off eBay. Obviously you need to be very careful and do all your checks before parting with your cash. Probably a good idea to protect yourself with some form of warranty too as you don't want any nasty surprises if funds are tight.

yeah i kno its a bit steep, i enquired what apr my bak could offer but as it stands, one barclays could only offer 16.0% approx, and natwest would not due to my current overdraft.

So really considering the finace offer.

Also with some models I kno their can be problems, then again you are more likely to hear from disgruntled stilo owners, than the ones that are quite happy, however i wanted to know if their are any common problems, with the stilo, getin 3 months warranty on mine, but may purchase the full 12 months for £125.

hey tkmking, i noticed you ahce a 1.8 dynamic, was wondering if u knew wether the 1.6 has the automatic windscreen wipers and headlights, and wats the fuel comsuption like for your 1.8, how much u fill in a week an how much u drive etc

Prices may drop a bit when the new Bravo comes out...

ohhhhh, im on the step up game really, from a bravo-stilo-new bravo, really want to experience the stilo b4 i dream of the new bravo

yeah, but the stilos price may drop when it comes out so you can save yourself a bob or two ;)

My petrol consumption compared to the 1.6 is horrendous! I get between 250-350 miles on a tank depending where i'm driving - works out about 25mpg in town - can get 35/40 on motorways. But, compared to my mates 1.6 XBox - it's just so much more responsive.

sounds good, ive read details on the new bravo, but when does it launch, was planning to get my stilo end of this month really
