General Club Stilo Questions Answered!

Hi everyone!

I've had several PMs and emails regarding Club Stilo. I am going to post up the answers here then hopefully I won't have to keep on doing it.

I have been asked why the lack of content on the web-site. I can only refer you to John (PurpleMonday) about this as I am not set up to work on it, so therefore cannot access the site and update and input information there. I have asked John to arrange this but I'm still waiting..............can you hear me John?!!!!!!!!!

Secondly, with regard to subscriptions, again John is the man to talk to, he is taking the applications and fees as he has used his home address and that's where all subscriptions are sent and that's where they are dealt with.

I am generally in charge of badgering companies for discounts and looking into the Club Stilo merchandising potential. We will be looking at Club Stilo tax disc holders, stickers, etc if the member numbers begin to build.

That's about it for now, it's as much as I can tell you, I'm not passing the buck here but please present your questions to John as he will be able to clarify things for you.

I'm sorry if this isn't living up to peoples expectations however people have to understand that a 'perfect' club doesn't just appear overnight...

Right from the start I said that this was going to be a true owners club and as such invited contributions towards ths site content - as it stands today, the only contribution has been a picture for the Members Motors section.

I can appreciate that some folk are going to be reluctant to commit to joining a new club such as this, however the initial take up has been a little disappointing to say the least. In the run up to launching the site we had 11 people register an interest via email and since launching the membership form has been downloaded 50 times - despite all this interest, there has only been one membership application returned!

I am working on enhancing the content of the site at the moment and am open to any suggestions for site improvements - going back to my earlier comment, the intention is and always has been to make this a proper owners club that people can feel a part of and have a say in what goes on.

I never expected this to be an instant success however by the same token I never expected it to be an instant failure. I'm comitted to making Club Stilo work and would urge people to get in touch either by PM to purplemonday or email [email protected] with any ideas/comments/feedback (good or bad!) as we can't make things better if we don't know what's wrong.

Anyway, enough from me...I'm off before I get pelted with rotten fruit!

I'm all for supporting a small site, tried to start up my own mini club and i know its not easy!
