Morning All,

I'm Trying To Source A Set Of 4 Bilstein Shocks To Match With My
-30mm Eibach Springs Prior To Fitting.

Those Of You With Them, Can You Advise Where You Purchased Them? Iv'e Searched The Net But They Don't Seem The Easiest Thing To Get Hold Of????

Also Anyone Know How Much Fiat Charge For The Schumi Kit? And Could I Fit It To My Jtd?

Cheers

Fiat sell them as part of the GP kit which retails at £700 + vat
But this is a full "Prodrive" kit including the springs...

Perhaps try getting in touch with Prodrive direct as they apparently developed these direct with Bilstein...

I'll look into it a bit more to see if fiat have released a part number for the shocks seperately yet... I'll keep you informed.

Oh and yes they will fit..

Guys why not just buy the bilstein sprint shocks which are for lowering also they match perfect if you just want to lower up to 30mm. i put them on with eibach springs and is the best investment so far the handling has tottally changed plus its not so stiff where your back hurts like KW's

Thanks for the replys..............

SchooweeNick,
i'd appreciate if you could do some digging, they must supply the shocks seperately, what happens if one fails at any time and needs replacing, surly you wouldn't have to buy the whole kit again:confused: touch wood!!

Dan,
the eibachs i got off ebay for £80. bargain as they are brand new:slayer: suppose i was just lucky really, keep your eyes open as they do appear on ebay now and again.

Stilatos,
i note that you're in greece but did you get your bilsteins on the web? if so where from, i've not heard of "bilstein sprint shocks"

I'm gonna have a look at fitting the rear springs tomorrow if the weathers OK, fingers crossed:worship:

go to www.bilstein.de

THis is the product characteristics of each group i went for the Bilstein sprints which are espcecially for lowering. if you just want to change the shocks and not lower go for the bilstein sports

http://www2.bilstein.de/en/produkte/tuning.php3

on the upper menu you will find catalogue click it
and it will tell you the codes for your car and which types of shocks either being the classic black ones which are direct o.e. replacements of if you wanna put better ones like the sports, sprints, or pss9

im very picky about suspension i mean i want amazing handling but dont want to break my back on every pothole or bump so these were perfect for me. a little stiffer than usual when cruisin but really firms up when you drive aggresively or maneuvering. so this is in my opinion someone who wants both a very sporty suspension but also to be relatively comfortable

i found the code in the catalogue and just rang up my local suspension guy to order them for me. together with eibach pro kit progressive spring kit i paid suspension with shocks about 650 euros all together
